The first way to make money online is developing a list. This is the most critical strategy for long-term financial success. If you do not already have some form of auto responder system you need to get one. Don’t be cheap here either because your entire business will rest on this one piece of software.
You can build your list several various ways. You can acquire leads from trustworthy list building firms and get them into your autoresponder. To avoid having to manually enter the lead's information, most reputable list building services will offer the option of sending an email to your autoresponder.
Another efficient approach of building your list is from the traffic that hits your website. This step, which is arguably the most effective, does require you to have a website in order to build an opt-in list form. Of course if your Affiliate program does offer a list management service then you can send traffic to the affiliate URL, but I don’t advocate it as you will likely not be able to email the full list with special offers.
To make the most of your opt-in form and acquire the most signups, you should position it in your sales page copy. It should be carefully put in the sales copy after you present a problem. The subject of your autoresponder email series should address the problem by giving a solution. In the example below we will assume that I am providing a hosting package and I want opt-in subscribers to my email course for back-end sales.
You have the option of using one of the pre-made websites or creating your own. Many people think that making a website is hard, but I can show you how easy it actually is. Take my 10 day email course “Build a Website with Ease”[signup form here].
The second way to make money online is attracting visitors to your website.
If you want to make money, you need focused traffic, not just any old traffic. People who are eager to buy your product or service are your best bet. Using Google Adwords, blogging, article authoring, and linking, you can bring highly focused traffic to your website with relative ease. Google Adwords is a resource supplied by Google in which you may pay for your site to be show when particular keywords are queried in their search engine.
The answer to using Adwords is not to bid high on popular keywords. As an alternative, you should seek out keywords that are similar to yours but are used less frequently. These keywords will cost far less to bid on and will allow you to spread your money out over many different keywords, obtaining the greatest bang for your dollars.
Blogging is another wonderful approach to bring targeted traffic to your website. To get the most out of this strategy the blog should be placed on the same website as the sales page witch links to your affiliate program. Once your blog is set up, all you have to do is write high-quality content to keep it alive.
I advocate generating your own content which precisely relates to your affiliate program and or items. Once you have some material you will need to submit your RSS feed to the as many blog search engines as you can. As a result, other webmasters will be able to use your blog's content feeds on their own websites.
When webmasters and search engines both benefit from quality content, the value of a website rises, and you gain targeted visitors.
This is done by the URL link that you easily placed under your name after the blog was posted. As a result, your link can be found on tens of thousands of websites thanks to the power of blog feeds. Having links linking back to your site not only gets visitors to click on them, but Google notices this and rewards you with a higher page rank.
Blogging and article writing are nearly identical, with the exception that articles must have more relevant information and be sprinkled with relevant keywords that webmasters are looking for. You'll submit (syndicate) your article to content sites rather than blog search engines after it's finished.
Content sites are venues that webmasters go to find specific content to give their readers. Write well and you may be able to negotiate an exclusive contract with a webmaster to write for their site in the future. His readers get amazing exclusive content and you get highly motivated targeted traffic.
Linking is likely the most extensively used way of increasing traffic and page rank. However, if done incorrectly you could end up damaging your Google page rank and ultimately loosing potential buyers. To use this strategy, you'll need your own website with a 'links' page where you can post your reciprocal connections.
Many people go and submit their URL links to link farms in an attempt to fool Google into giving them a better page rank. This does NOT work; in fact Google has been known to punish websites for engaging in these practices.
The secret to linking is to discover websites in your target market which have a Google page rank of 4 or above and persuade the web master to put your link on their website. You may believe that by doing so you are assisting your competitors, and in fact you are. But your competition would be assisting you as well. Keep in mind that sending outgoing traffic to a partner is preferable to having them simply dismiss their browser window.
If implemented correctly, the tactics outlined in this article will boost your revenue and residuals. Reciprocal linking, Blogging and Article writing are wonderful techniques to attract enormous volumes of high quality focused traffic to your website. Those methods paired with a successful sales page with an integrated opt-in email list can make your business soar to new heights. It is a given that you will profit from using this strategy.
